Martingale strategy

Martingale strategy is one of the strategies which many people use. If we compare this with some of other strategies, it is pretty straightforward. For instance in Martingale strategy, what you do is you place your initial bet. It could be five dollars.  If you win, you do not change your bets and the same bet is carried on. On the other hand, if you lose the Martingale strategy suggest that the bets be doubled when you are playing the next hand. If you manage to win after losing consecutive hands the amount you will win using Martingale strategy is five dollars. So, whenever you win using Martingale strategy, five dollars get added regardless of the money you might lose before.

Let us demonstrate this with a simple example. For instance, the initial bet is five dollars. You happen to win your first hand. Let’s assume that you lose your next. The bet will increase to ten dollars. Let’s assume that you keep on losing until the bet becomes eighty dollars and now you win. If you are playing with Martingale strategy you will end up having five more dollars.

Strategy Explained

This looks pretty straightforward but it lacks reality as well. It is because of the fact that the bets cannot be doubled always as you may run out of money. Moreover, you could lose a lot of money if you keep on losing in a row. This is usually the risk with this system. Moreover, there is a table limit as well which will be reached in no time if you lose money quickly. So, when should this strategy be used or applied? The martingale strategy could be quite effective if you are playing in short run. It would be fair to say that this strategy can only be implemented if you are playing for an hour or so because table limit will be hit in no time if you are losing money. Remember, the bet gets double when you lose.

In addition to that, there are other factors as well which you might want to take into account. For instance, what game you are playing with Martingale strategy as with some games it is preferable to use L’abouchere strategy. It is worth mentioning again that the chances of losing money subsequently get high when you play for long hours, which mean you are going to lose a lot of money soon. If you are short on bankroll then using martingale strategy would not be such a great idea as the chances of winning gets lowered. If you are in search of a one best strategy then perhaps martingale strategy is not for you since it cannot guarantee 100 percent winnings.
